Inclusion Program

Available for Overnight and Day Camp Programs – for those born between 2013 and 2004

C.Y.O. Camp Brébeuf offers an inclusive  program designed to make camp a reality for your child with special needs. This program is offered for our overnight and day camp programming. During each week we can accommodate up to 6 children with exceptionalities.  Please note due to the high demand of this program we are only able to provide one week of camp to each camper in this program.

How the program works:

Prior to camp, an inclusion counsellor will be assigned to work with your child. The inclusion counsellor and your child will then be assigned a cabin group for the week.  Each cabin group is broken up into separate male and female groups with  a maximum of 14 campers and a minimum of 2 counsellors plus the inclusion counselor.  The goal of the program is to integrate children with exceptionalities into all of the programming during the week. If time away from the group or modified programming is required to make your child’s experience the best possible, our inclusion counsellor is there to help.

If you know that your child is in need of a inclusion counsellor please let us know prior to camp. Leading up to camp we will work with you to better understand your child’s needs. Our goal is to make your child’s week the best one possible.

Because there is limited space for our inclusion program, we do ask that you contact the camp prior to registering. We will let you know about the availability for each week and send you a inclusion form if you are going to be registering.   It is important that you contact us ahead of time. Camp staff will review the needs of your child to ensure that C.Y.O. Camp Brebeuf is the best suited camp for your child before completing the registration process.  C.Y.O. Camp Brebeuf staff may request a visit with you and your child before camp to better understand your child’s needs.  We encourage open communication with our Camp Staff along the way to ensure your child has a successful week of camp.

Thanks to generous community donations there is no additional cost to this program.
